I’m Ready for War if Nigeria Must Fight, Pastor Adefarasin Declares as He Warns of Rising National Security Threats

Pastor Paul Adefarasin stirred strong reactions during his recent sermon when he declared, “I certainly hope Nigeria will never have to go to war but if it comes to that, I am ready for it.”

He made the statement while addressing the escalating security challenges facing the country and the growing influence of global extremist networks operating across Africa. The pastor clarified that his hope is firmly for peace, dialogue, and long-term stabilization.

However, he warned that Nigeria must not be caught unprepared. According to him, terr+rism is part of a wider international conflict with Nigeria serving as one of the active fronts. While diplomatic engagement continues, he insisted that a nation still needs intelligence, strategy, and strength to permanently defeat those who thr+aten its stability.

He also highlighted ongoing attempts to displace indigenous communities in the Middle Belt and parts of the Northeast, describing the situation as a coordinated and well-funded operation. According to him, these groups do not act alone but are tied to powerful interests benefiting from illegal resource extraction.

The pastor stressed that Nigeria’s brightest minds its thinkers, strategists, technocrats, and intellectuals across all ethnic groups must come together to create a unified national plan. Without that, he warned, the country could face a future conflict it is not ready for.

Adefarasin also spoke about Nigerians in the diaspora, noting that many left because the country was not working for them, but still hope to return if Nigeria becomes secure and prosperous again.

He concluded by urging unity, vigilance, and preparedness, praying that Nigeria finds the right allies, protects itself from internal saboteurs, and ultimately avoids war even though he is personally ready if it ever becomes unavoidable.
